Dear Residents,
First let us begin with – Happy New Year! We are hopeful that things will get a bit better this year, as the Covid-19 vaccine rolls out. While this is still a very scary time for all, we promise to continue doing everything we personally can to help our tenants stay safe & healthy.
American Management will continue to waive late fees and pause rent increases as mandated by Baltimore City.
Our office is still closed to the public. Please know, our phone lines and email are open. Note, we are experiencing an unprecedented volume of calls and still have limited staff in the office. We are still recommending residents to communicate via email as you will receive the fastest response this way. *If a call is needed and we are unable to get to the phone, please leave a voicemail so we can address any questions/concerns.
American Management would like to continue to offer some relief from the circumstances and keep you safe and healthy within your home by the following:
- If there is financial hardship due to Covid, we ask that you proactively communicate this via email (billing@americanmanage.com) to American Management. Some financial resources for many of us can be found at https://www.mmhaonline.org/covid-19-updates-and-resources (Under resources for Residents)
- If you are in need of additional services or assistance, please reach out to Baltimore City Community Partnership Centers at 410-545-0900 and ask to speak with a Human Service Worker or email eviction.prevention@baltimorecity.gov
- If you have submitted a maintenance request and are showing signs of the virus, we ask that you communicate this to us. Similarly, our staff’s temperatures will be continuously and thoroughly monitored. Any staff that has symptoms of COVID-19 will stay at home. We will use test kits as they become widely available.
- We will continue routine cleaning of common areas, but this may take longer than usual as we prioritize social distancing. We ask that residents assist us with this in order to control traffic within your building.
- To further protect your health and safety, any communal lounges are still shut down. Shared washers and dryers will remain accessible and functioning to the extent of which we are capable of maintaining them.
Please continue with these precautionary measures below, to make your own health a top priority as well as friends & family.
- Stay home! If you do need to leave, please maintain 6 feet of distance from others when able.
- Wash your hands consistently with soap and water, for at least 30 seconds. Say your ABC's!
- Disinfect objects and surfaces that are frequently touched. This includes items like keys and cell phones! Also, refrain from touching your face!
- Limit traffic within your building (i.e. non-essential visits from friends). Please disinfect when friends/family are coming and going, if possible, as well.
- Avoid gatherings and get tested frequently as symptoms can still be mild and carried.
Please know that American Management will continue to help you and our communities as we have limited staff in the office and most of us are working remotely. We will continuously do what we can and truly appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding. 2020 was certainly a tough one for many!
-American Management Team
